Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: What are the different types of loyalty programs available on OptCulture?

A: OptCulture’s module is flexible and can create many program types, including Simple Cashback, Single-Tier Points-Based, Tier-Based Loyalty, Purchase-Based (Punch Cards), and more.

Q: What is the main benefit of a tier-based loyalty system?

A: It allows you to identify and treat your most valued customers differently. By offering better rewards to high-spending tiers, you make them feel special and encourage them to maintain their high level of spending. These programs can also include non-monetary perks like free parking or early access to new collections, which build a stronger brand connection.

Q: Why didn't a customer get points for their purchase?

A: This can have a few causes:

  • Issuance Rules: Check your program's "Issuance Rules." You may have configured the program to exclude "On Sale" items or specific departments from earning points.
  • POS/System Sync: There may have been a momentary sync issue between the POS and OptCulture.
  • Customer Not Enrolled: The customer may not have been properly enrolled or identified in the system at the time of purchase.

Q: Why didn't a customer get upgraded to the next tier?

A: Tier upgrades are almost always based on Lifetime Purchase Value (LPV), not on the number of points a customer has. The customer may have a high point balance but has not yet spent the total amount required to meet the "Tier Upgrade Rule" (e.g., "LPV of $500").
