Best Practices

  • Use Descriptive Naming: Avoid generic names like "Zone 1" or "Test Zone." Use clear names that reflect the purpose or grouping logic (e.g., "Midwest Stores," "SMS Receipts Zone," "Franchise Partners"). This makes it easier for your entire team to understand the purpose of each zone.

  • Plan Your Zone Strategy: Before creating zones, map out your business needs. Are your zones based on geography, operational function (like receipt type), or ownership (like franchise)? A clear plan will prevent confusion later.

  • Keep Zones Updated: When you add a new store to OptCulture (via Configurations > Stores), make it a standard practice to then go to Configurations > Zones and assign that new store to its correct zone.
