Best Practices

  • Start with a Clear Goal: Know what you want to achieve before you start building. Are you trying to increase repeat purchases, win back lost customers, or promote a new product line?

  • Use Descriptive Names: A segment named "Q4_HighSpenders_Womenswear" is much more useful than "Test_Segment_1."

  •  The most powerful segments often combine different data types. For example, combine a Purchase Rule (bought from a specific department) with Combine Rule Types with a Customer Rule (lives in a specific city) for a targeted local promotion.

  • Regularly Review Your Segments: Customer behaviour changes. Periodically review your segments to ensure they are still relevant to your marketing goals.
