Troubleshooting & FAQs
Q: Why is my Super Segment empty?
A: Your logic is likely too restrictive. An INCLUDE ALL rule on two simple segments with no overlapping customers will result in zero contacts. Similarly, an EXCLUDE ANY rule might be removing everyone from your Include group. Always check the logic and the individual counts of your base segments.
Q: Can I use a Super Segment inside another Super Segment?
A: No. You can't use a Super Segment as a component in a new Super Segment.
Q: What's the practical difference between EXCLUDE ALL and EXCLUDE ANY?
A:
-
EXCLUDE ANY is much broader and removes more customers. If you exclude segments A and B, it removes anyone who is in A or B.
-
EXCLUDE ALL is very specific and only removes the small group of customers who are in both A and B at the same time.
Q: I selected Include Any for two segments, but the total count is less than the two segments' counts added together. Why?
A: The ANY (Union) logic automatically removes duplicate customers. If a customer exists in both segments, they are only counted once in the final Super Segment total.
Q: How do I see which customers are in my Super Segment?
A: After you save your Super Segment, you can go back to the main "Existing Segments" list. From there, you can click the "Preview" icon to see a list of the customers who match your Super Segment's logic.
