Q1: Why was my template rejected by Meta?

A:

  • Cause: The content may violate the WhatsApp Business Policy. Common reasons include referencing prohibited goods or making misleading claims.

  • Solution: Review the policy and rewrite the body to be unambiguous and compliant. Also, avoid using non-essential punctuation or excessive capitalization.

Q2: What causes a Placeholder Formatting Error for variables like {{1}}?

A:

  • Cause: The variables {{1}}, {{2}} include formatting or text, or they are not numbered sequentially.

  • Solution: Ensure the variables are only simple, sequential numbers in double curly braces and that there is no space between the body text and the variable.

  • Correct Variable Format Example: {{1}}, {{2}}

Q3: Why is my Dynamic URL not tracking?

A:

  • Cause: The merge tag was not applied correctly to the URL field, or the wrong variable was used.

  • Solution: Re-open the Select Placeholder modal, ensure the Dynamic URL type is selected, and use the correct merge tag (e.g., {{1}}, {{2}} to correctly inject the unique tracking identifier.

Q4: Why was my Carousel Template rejected?

A:

  • Cause: The template did not include the minimum required number of cards (which is 2), or the media used was poor quality.

  • Solution: Ensure you configure Card 1 and at least Card 2. Use high-resolution images or videos that clearly represent the product.

Q5: Why is my message status stuck on 'Pending'?

A:

  • Cause: The template may not have the required Template Reg. Id entered, or the template is still awaiting final approval from Meta.

  • Solution: Verify the Template Reg. Id is accurate. If it is accurate, you need to wait for the Meta approval process to complete. (This typically takes a few minutes but can take up to 24 hours).
